Discipleship: Part 4 Isaiah 8:16

Isaiah 8:16:

16 Bind up the testimony, Seal the law among my disciples.  (NKJV)

BEC OT:

“True disciples of the Lord received God’s word and treasured it in their hearts.”

Isaiah willingly waited patiently for God’s word to be fulfilled.

My thoughts:

-As disciples we need to be patient for God’s timing.

-Reflection Question: How are you at letting God be in control and waiting for His perfect timing instead of your own?

  1. Is there anything harder than admitting we are not in control and waiting patiently? The whole idea of letting go and letting God is foreign to us. Thanks for the reminder that we are called to do it anyway. LORD, give me patience- and give it to me now! 🙂

  2. 4himcamper says:

What I have found that helps w/ patience is asking God to help us be patient in what we already have. And letting go is definitely the hardest thing to do.
