I was filling out the mixology survey for Air1 when I came across MikesChair’s new single “Keep Changing the World”. It got me thinking: over the last couple of decades, there have been a lot of music that deals in someway living the Great Commission. There should not have to be song after song nearly every year reminding us to live this command. Over the last couple of years we have had at least 7 songs in addition to the one by MikesChair that are telling us as Christians that we need to start acting like Christians NOT hypocrites. People who claim to be Christians all to often are hypocrites. We are not called to be pharisees, we are called to love and serve just as God loved us and sent Jesus to die for us and raise again 3 days later.
Here’s the timeline of the songs that I have. There’s probably more than this that have come out in the last 20 years let alone the last century.

If we have this many songs over the last 20 years, there might be something to Jesus’ words: Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. And Lo I am with you always even to the end of the age. (Matthew 28-19-20)
I realize that sometimes we come up with various excuses as to why we don’t: scared, shy, don’t know what to say…I’ve been there, done that too.
I have a feeling that Jesus is returning sooner than most of us think He is (and yes that may mean He won’t return for another couple thousand years or it could mean next week), and we as Christians need to take a stand being vocal about what we truly believe. If we believe that Jesus is our Lord and Savior, the Son of the Living God, then we must proclaim it from the mountain tops and the street corners, not just in church on Sunday mornings, at Christian concerts, or Christian conferences.
God wants us to proclaim it; if we don’t, the rocks and trees will cry out. As much as I wonder what that would sound like, I really don’t want to hear it because that means we aren’t doing our job.
So lets Speak Louder Than Before about Jesus Until The Whole World Hears so The Lost Get Found because we don’t want to got through The Motions. If We Are The Body and not being a light For Future Generations, then we’ve failed and are a bunch of hypocrites. The Eyes Of The World are watching us to see how we behave in various situations. Let’s not land in an Epic Fail but show The Message of Jesus.
